Online privacy is important to all of us, and it is particularly relevant today, with the implementation of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This new privacy regulation, applicable in the EU and to any business that has customers there, has a direct and immediate effect on how online businesses collect and store data.

THE GDPR & HOW IT AFFECTS YOUR BUSINESS

The GDPR is the new law regulating how personal data (everything that can help identify a person) of individuals in the EU can be collected, used and processed. It takes effect on May 25, 2018, and effects everyone in the EU. According to GDPR, websites need to protect site visitors’ privacy. This means website owners need to:
  1. Get consent to collect data.
  2. Explain how collected data will be used.
  3. Be able to delete all data collected from site visitors, upon request.

How We Help You Comply & Bring Value to Your Business

By showing your clients you meet these new regulations, you provide a safer, trust-building user experience to your potential customers. WE PROVIDE:
A Standard Privacy Policy to Boost Site Transparency
The GDPR requires all websites to inform users about the type of data the site collects and what this data is used for. We provide a standard  privacy policy that can be customised with your website’s specific details.

Customised Cookie Notification
A new cookie notification lets visitors know your site collects information in the form of cookies. We also recommend linking a sites cookie notification to its privacy policy.

Free SSL Certificate
We provide a free SSL certificate for HTTPS encryption. This ensures the connection to your website is secure and cannot be intercepted.

Consent Fields on Contact Forms
According to GDPR, website owners must get consent from site visitors before collecting data. To comply with this requirement, we have added an opt-in consent field in every contact form on your site.

Personal Data Deletion
The GDPR requires that if a site visitor requests to have their personal data deleted, the website owner must do so without delay. We can enable you to manage and delete all of a visitor’s personal data that was submitted through website contact forms.

Your GDPR Checklist

  1. Activate a customised Privacy Policy
  2. Enable opt-in consent on all Contact Forms
  3. Activate a Cookie Notification
  4. Set up your SSL Certificate

Smarter Websites for a Smarter Web As part of our commitment to keeping your website ahead of the curve, we’re now automatically including a special file called llms.txt on all newly published sites. This simple yet powerful update helps ensure your website is accurately represented in AI search tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and others that are shaping the future of how people discover information online. What is llms.txt - and Why Should You Care? Think of llms.txt as an AI-friendly sitemap. It lists the live, indexable pages on your site, along with their meta descriptions, so that large language models (LLMs) can pull the most relevant, up-to-date info straight from your actual content.

Jack and his two brothers-in-law are taking part in the 3 Peaks Challenge to raise funds for LATCH Children's Cancer Charity! ( www.latchwales.org ) The cause is incredibly close to his family's heart as his nephew, Joey, Romano’s little boy, was diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer aged one years old, just as the COVID-19 pandemic began. It was a helpless time for Jack and his family, unable to offer any support in person whilst Joey was going through treatment, but charities like LATCH provided incredible support when nobody else could. Thankfully, Joey is in full recovery now, although he still undergoes many scans. Now they would love to give back and help ensure LATCH can continue to help other families in need so on 30th August they have decided to walk the three highest peaks in the UK to raise money for LATCH. They are funding the trip themselves so any donations you can make to Latch to help make a difference would be amazing! Just click the link below to donate.
